His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, received, in his office, the deputy chief of the Doctors Without Borders mission in Yemen, Brian Mueller, to sea about the size of the interventions carried out by the organization and its treatment of thousands of wounded young people in all governorates of the Republic of Yemen .

During the meeting, "His Excellency Minister Al-Bakri thanked the efforts of Doctors Without Borders and its mighty role in treating the wounded of the war that has ravaged the country for more than 7 years, and providing it with various medical services, at a time when many organizations abandoned their humanitarian and moral role during that period."

He added, "The Yemeni people, with all their political orientations, are grateful for the efforts of Doctors Without Borders, and the great services it provided during the country's current crisis, and for performing surgeries and saving the lives of thousands of young people and citizens in general."

He continued, "People remember with gratitude those charitable and humanitarian efforts made by the organization, which reflect a great sense of responsibility and level of ethical interaction in such difficult circumstances."

For his part, Deputy Chief of Mission Brian Mueller thanked the support and support of His Excellency Minister al-Bakri to the organization (when he was governor of Aden), and his almost daily visits to check on the health of the wounded, and to overcome the difficulties that were facing the work team.

In addition to its surgical interventions, the organization is currently carrying out a lot of work, especially with regard to emergency interventions such as (epidemics, natural disasters), etc., as well as expanding its activities to include a number of governorates, especially those that are unable to provide medical services, as needed.".

The meeting was attended by the Ministry's the general manager of Planning and Performance Evaluation, Dr. Mabrouk Al-Hassani, the general manager of media Shukri Hussein, the general manager of the Ministry’s office in Taiz Ayman Al-Makhlafi, and on the part of the organization, the director of its office in Aden, Abdel Moamen Trajo, Deputy Mission Assistant Muhammad Abdel Rahim, and the organization’s advisor, Fadl Hussein Al-Naqib.
